History
Formed in 1964, the Association of Old Crows (AOC) is a non profit
professional association headquartered in Washington DC (USA) area.
The association and his name originated during WW II and with the initial
use of electronics to disrupt enemy communications and radars.
Electronic warfare equipement and operators were identified by the codeword
"Raven". Common jargon changed the name to "Crows", and those
involved in the profession became known as "Old Crows". Today, all
association members are active in the field.
The AOC has more than 70 Chapters worldwide.
Objectives
- Promote the exchange of ideas and information, and promote the
dissemination of new knowledge in the field of Electronic Warfare.
- Support the professional development of those engaged in related
scientific, engineering, management and operational acivities.
- Document the history of Electronic Warfare.
The Swiss Crows
The Swiss Crows, founded in 1995, is the AOC Chapter from
Switzerland.
The Swiss Crows pursues the same objectives as the AOC.
